Golf Tournament Exceeds Goals
More than 120 golfers turned out on October 4 at Maketewah Country Club to support the work of St. Joseph Home residential, respite and day programs for children and adults with complex disabilities. Though rain curtailed play after 9 holes, no one’s spirits were dampened. There were smiles all around as the winners of multiple contests and drawings were announced. The winners of the tournament were 3rd place—KPMG: John Atkinson, Johnny Lewis, Andrew Mock, Mike Seifert; 2nd place—Truepoint Wealth Management: Guy Clanton, Devon Klumb, Ken Kollsmith; 1st place—HuDawn Facility Solutions: Brett Dunlap, Bryan Lincoln, Shaun LaSance, Scott Simpson. (Also shown with VP of Advancement Jordan Huizenga are Kim Patton who won Longest Putt and Kat Pepmeyer who won the raffle drawing for 8 Bengals tickets.)
Thanks to the Golf Committee, Co-Chaired by Peter and Kassey Hiltz, and with members Rich Arnold, Brian Brinkmoeller, Conor Feldmann, Janet Keller, Johnda Keuffer, Dave Lockard, Stephen Mizeres, Matt Reddy, Chris Robbins, and Rick Theders, the event exceeded sponsorship and fundraising goals, garnering nearly $80,000 for St. Joseph Home.
St. Joseph Home President and CEO Dan Connors thanked everyone involved saying, “St. Joseph Home is able to give extraordinary, individualized support because of your donations. Our residents live full and dignified lives because you share our belief that every individual has gifts to share with the world and our skilled and compassionate staff are able to partner with the individuals we serve so that they can reach their full potential.”
